Job Title: Manager – Finance
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reporting To: Finance Controller
Location: Indore
Role Overview
The Manager – Finance will be responsible for managing accounting operations, ensuring statutory
and tax compliance, supporting financial reporting, and overseeing finance activities across domestic
and overseas subsidiaries. The role requires strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and
leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Management
Lead, supervise, and develop the finance & accounts team
Allocate responsibilities and ensure timely deliverables
Drive performance, efficiency, and internal controls
2. Accounting & Financial Operations
Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including:
o General ledger, journal entries, reconciliations
o Accounts payable / receivable
o Bank & balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of books of accounts
Strengthen and monitor internal financial controls
3. Direct Tax Compliance
Oversee compliance related to Income Tax including:
o Advance tax calculations
o TDS/TCS compliance
o Tax audits & assessments
o Return filings
Coordinate with tax consultants and authorities
4. Indirect Tax Compliance
Supervise GST compliance including:
o Return filings (GSTR-1, 3B, etc.)
o Reconciliations & audits
o Input tax credit reviews
Handle notices, assessments, and departmental queries
5. SEZ Compliance
Ensure adherence to SEZ regulations including:
o SOFTEX filings
o LUT/Bond compliance
o Periodic reporting & documentation
Liaise with SEZ authorities
6. Financial Reporting
Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements for standalone entity
Support statutory audit and internal audit processes
Provide schedules, reconciliations, and audit documentation
7. Consolidation & Group Reporting
Assist in consolidation of financial statements for domestic and overseas subsidiaries
Coordinate with subsidiaries for financial data, eliminations, and adjustments
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS as applicable)
8. Overseas Subsidiary Compliance
Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance for overseas subsidiaries
Coordinate with local consultants/advisors
Monitor regulatory and statutory filing requirements
9. Budgeting & Analysis (Recommended addition)
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Perform variance analysis and management reporting
Provide financial insights for decision-making
10. Process Improvement & Controls (Recommended addition)
Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency
Implement best practices in accounting & compliance
Strengthen SOPs and documentation
Qualification & Experience
Mandatory: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
Experience: 3–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience
Prior experience in corporate accounting, compliance, or consulting preferred
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of accounting standards & financial reporting
Auditing & financial statement preparation
Direct & Indirect Tax compliance
SEZ regulatory knowledge
Advanced MS Excel & PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Power BI
Experience with Tally or equivalent ERP/accounting systems
Analytical thinking & problem-solving
Leadership & team management
Attention to detail & deadline orientation
Preferred Attributes
Experience in handling multi-entity / group reporting
Exposure to overseas accounting/taxation
Ability to interact with auditors, consultants & regulators
Strong communication & stakeholder management skills
